Get a quote online or call (808) 378-7540; we book your Matson sailing and send you a booking number; then either drive your car to the Long Beach or Oakland terminal (port-to-port) or we dispatch a licensed carrier to pick it up at your door (door-to-port). No documents are required to ship TO Hawaii — photo ID and your booking number at the gate is all it takes.
Our rates start at $1,730 port-to-port from Long Beach or Oakland to Honolulu. That includes ocean freight on Matson, terminal handling, and basic cargo insurance. For door-to-port, your overland pickup rate is quoted and confirmed before you book. No hidden markups added after.
Matson quotes 2–3 weeks from drop-off to Honolulu availability; our customers average about 16 days. Add 1–3 days for pickup if you choose door-to-port service. We provide real-time Matson tracking so you always know where your vehicle is.
Yes — in two layers. On the overland leg, your vehicle is covered by the carrier’s cargo insurance up to $100,000, effectively full coverage for most vehicles. On the ocean leg, Matson’s standard liability covers up to roughly $8,000; if your vehicle is worth more, you can declare a higher value on your Dock Receipt for an additional freight rate and cover its full value. We walk you through both options before you book.
Yes. We deliver to all four major-island ports — Honolulu (Oahu), Kahului (Maui), Nawiliwili (Kauai), and Hilo (Big Island). Honolulu is the direct Matson destination; neighbor-island deliveries add a coordinated inter-island barge leg, handled as part of your single booking.
Yes. We honor SCRA and offer a dedicated PCS move coordinator at no extra charge. We work directly with your installation's housing office and align pickup and delivery to your reporting date.
We ship standard sedans, trucks, SUVs, classic cars, and fleet vehicles. If it rolls on four wheels and fits the Matson RoRo deck, we can ship it. Contact us for any non-standard vehicle and we'll quote it directly.
When you book with us, the price we quote is final. Fuel prices, terminal fee changes, and surcharges do not affect your rate after booking. You have certainty from day one.
