Can I Put Personal Items in The Car?

We are sorry to inform you that you will NOT be able to place any personal belongings in the vehicle while shipping to and from Hawaii. Maritime and State laws expressly forbid it placing any items in the vehicle, there is nothing we can do about this, sorry! We highly recommend that all clients read the Hawaii Car shipping checklist to ensure you have no delays when shipping.
02
Is Shipping Enclosed?
On land transport you can choose to have you vehicle shipped on a open car hauler or for an additional cost you could choose to have your vehicle sent enclosed and protected from the elements along the way. When it comes to ocean service , all vehicles are placed safely inside the ship for the long journey. Occasionally on interisland voyages you car may be placed on the deck of the barge.

03
Can I Track My Vehicle?

There is an option during ocean service to track your vehicle. Please refer to are vehicle tracking page and download the free app or also on that page there is a link that will take you to a page where you could track your vehicles departure and arrival. For land service we recommend calling your driver or our customer service to track your vehicle.

What Documents Will I Need?
Fortunately you will not be needing a hole lot of documentation when shipping to and from Hawaii since you are technically shipping from one state to another. There are maritime and state laws though, so you will need some! If you car is leased or finance you will need a release of lien which we have provided a sample for your convenience in our documents page under "Lien Holder Authorization".

05
How Do I Pay For Shipping?

Paying for your vehicles shipment to and from Hawaii is fairly simple. First you will make a smaller deposit to reserve your spot on the ship with one of our reps. The second payment is made directly to the port over the phone or in person using any major credit or debit card. The final payment is made cash, cashiers check or money order directly to the driver upon pick-up if going to Hawaii and upon delivery if you are transporting from Hawaii.
06
Can I Designate Someone To Recieve My Vehicle?
Yes you can designate someone to receive the vehicle on your behalf. If you are having a driver deliver to your home all you need to do is let your representative know the name of the person that will be receiving on your behalf. On the other hand, if you are going to have someone pick the vehicle up at the port, the you will need a letter authorizing them to do so. We have created a sample letter to make it easier on you. Simply visit our Documents section under Resources and download the "Absentee Owner Authorization Letter"
