NOTICE: Matson port gates are federal security zones. Missing documents, prohibited items, or ineligible vehicles will result in immediate gate rejection.
CRITICAL FAIL POINTS (Check These First)
If your vehicle fails any point below, it will be turned away at the gate.
1. Electric Vehicles (EVs) & Plug-in Hybrids: REJECTED.
We strictly ship Gas/Diesel inventory only due to lithium-ion fire safety protocols.
2. Major Windshield
Cracks:
Any crack obstructing the driver's view or spanning the glass must be taped or replaced. Tiny chips are okay; spreading cracks are not.
3. Emergency Brake
Requirement:
The vehicle's emergency brake must be fully functional. Port crews will reject any vehicle that cannot hold its own weight on an incline.
UNIVERSAL RULES (All Routes)
Fuel Level: Must be 1/4 tank or less.
Why? Strictly enforced Fire Code regulation. Any gauge above 1/4 results in turn-away.
Zero Personal Items (The "Empty Car" Protocol):
Rule: Vehicle must be completely empty of boxes, luggage, and surfboards.
The ONLY Exceptions: One set of jumper cables, jack, spare tire, and one infant car seat.

Hawaii ➔ Mainland (Honolulu, Kahului, Hilo, Nawiliwili)

Current Registration & Safety Inspection: Registration must be valid. Vehicle must display a current Safety Check decal(or have a valid moving permit).
